2 Year Anniversary

I'd like to dedicate this post to my boyfriend. I know he reads up on my blog. He's the first person to notice when I haven't updated and reminds me to get on the grind about it. haha I love it. He's like my #1 fan. With so many things to do, family to spend time with and events to attend, we set aside time for each other...especially to celebrate our 2 years together. As I was driving him home after the wedding, he told me to drop by Krogers to grab some water for home because he ran out. So as slow as a turtle I am, I didn't think much but to really pull over for him to buy water at midnight?!?! he came out with a bouquet of flowers for me for our anniversary :) So sweet. He's such an amazing boyfriend. His humor is what keeps me young, his love is what keeps me going and his patience is what makes me love him more each day. Happy anniversary lovebug. Cheers to many more :)

We decided to get away for the night even if it was still in our hometown. We had dinner at Trulucks, which  also happened to be where we had our very 1st date. We both stuffed ourselves to the max with delicious food and dessert I could not even finish.

Crab and corn chowder. So good!

Crabcake for appetizer

Sesame crusted Hawaiian Tuna

The most amazing carrot cake I've ever had. It had pineapple, cream cheese, coconut and candied covered walnuts.

The laugh of the night. Almost had me in tears because it was just too funny. haha
He makes me laugh so hard :)

November Wedding

Seems like everyone around is either getting married or having babies. I attended another wedding over the weekend. I love going to weddings. It gives me an excuse to get fancy and dress up :)

I've had this dress for awhile but never pulled the tag off until now. It's like any ordinary black dress with the exception of the zippers in the front and the sleeves I absolutely adored. It reminded me almost of a tulip with layers stacked on top of each other :)

Kobecue

Ever since I had my first bite into a Korean beef burger in Austin, Tx, I've been craving for one all the time. My friends and I are a food junkie. Everytime we try something we enjoy salivating over, we share. So my friends went to the Korean festival a few weeks back and tried a food truck called Kobecue. They tried the Kobe beef burger and instantly texted me right away to try it out because it's comparable to the one we've tried in Austin. Boyfriend and I went on a double date with another food junkie couple at this Kobecue place. There's a restaurant off Weslayan and Kirby if anyone in Houston wants to try it out.

I ordered myself the Kobe beef burger with a side order of Kimchee Fries. I thought it was really good and would definitely come back again. There's just something about the sauce and the korean beef that adds so much flavor into my mouth. yum!

If you've followed my previous entry, I mentioned earlier that I was going to get a trim on my haircut. Here is just a glimpse of my new haircut above. It's so much lighter on my head and I have side swept bangs now.

I'm enjoying every moment off this entire week. Just celebrated my 2 year anniversary with my boyfriend. I hope everyone is having a joyous time with family and friends. I've already started on a little Christmas shopping already. Trying to get it done before the chaos!

Starbucks Run

Went to run some errands over the weekend and I of course had to make a stop at Starbucks for my usual, almost everyday drink. Iced white chocolate mocha. So good! It's my addiction every morning before I head in to work.

I got a lot of compliments on my blazer the day I wore this. This purchase was a major steal too. I remember the day I purchased it with my cousin. I was very lucky to find it in my size and it was I believe less than $30!

I'm getting a hair trim Wednesday. My hair is so thick and needs a major trim! Going back to shorter bangs.

This is my last week of work before Thanksgiving Break! I can't wait. Family is coming into town and I finally get to relax and sleep in! Woohoo!

Comments

Hello all! I have noticed on more than a few occassions that whenever I try to comment other blogs or try to comment people back, it won't allow me too. For example, most blogs have a drop down menu to select a profile before you comment such as
  • Google Account
  • Live Journal
  • Wordpress
  • TypePad
  • AIM
  • OpenID
If you have only these options, it won't allow me to leave a comment and it gets so frustrating because I'm dying to leave one but I can't. So I've either tried to follow you or tried to reach you in some way to let you know that I'm acknowledging you. So please help by going to your Settings > Comments > and fixing your settings to where Anonymous people or Name/URL people can comment!

Thanks! AND TGIF tomorrow!!! I need  a break from these kids. I'm counting down the days before Thanksgiving break because teachers/students get an entire week off! Woohoo! Time for relaxation :)

Happy Halloween

I hope everyone had a fun Halloween! I went to a nearby Halloween store and couldn't decide on what to dress up as. Everything I looked at just had a ridiculous price tag to it that I didn't think was worth buying. So I opted out on buying one this year and went to a nearby Hobby Lobby and bought fabric to make everything at home. The boyfriend and I decided to dress as Wilma and Fred Flintstone. Most people couldn't tell what I was without him so I made sure he was glued to my hip the entire night.

Making this was fairly easy. All I bought was 4 different colored fabric needed for our costumes (white, orange, black and blue). Everything was hand sewn with the exception of the black pattern my boyfriend hot glued on his costume. Making my costume was more difficult than my boyfriend's because it was tricky trying to get it to accentuate the figure of my body whereas my boyfriend was cut straight down like a potato sack. I thought I did pretty good for my first time. It was really fun doing it and what was more fun was seeing my boyfriend burn himself with a hot glue fun :) haha jk!

What were YOU dressed as for Halloween this year??
