Slight Change

So I wanted something different but not too drastic with my hair. Before heading out to celebrate my boyfriends graduation, I decided to part my hair straight down the middle with a few curls to keep it "oomph'd". I kinda liked it. What's your opinion? Should I continue with it? or keep my bangs to side (in previous pictures)??

happy graduation!

Every weekend so far has been crazy busy for me. I just want to take the time out to Congratulate him once more for his accomplishments! I am so proud of him. May he continue to follow his dreams and be successful in getting where he wants to be in the future.

Temporary Windbags Part III

This was our last day in the city. We started out morning off with brunch at the Bongo Room. I read reallly good reviews again off of yelp. The place was at least a 60/70 minute wait. We had so much planned that we figured if we waiting, we wouldn't be able to do it. After putting our names down on the list, I was debating whether or not we should wait and if it was worth waiting this long. I asked other people and they told us that it was really worth the wait and that we HAD to wait. So my boyfriend and I had no choice but to cross things off the list and wait. My goodness! This place was soo freaking delicious. I had as my boyfriend was say, "a mouth orgasm".

Red Velvet chocolatey hotcakes topped with warm vanilla creme and toasted walnuts

White chocolate and caramel covered pretzel pancakes with crushed pretzel, white chocolate and buttery caramel. It looked overwhelming but it was the most delicious thing that ever popped in my mouth.

inside of my dish. Yum!

After stuffing our faces, we decided to finish the rest of Magnificent Mile since the rain prevented us from doing so the day before...

I'm really going to miss seeing these colorful things everyday....

Temporary Windbags Part II

Day 2:

It was a rather gloomy day in Chicago this day as compared to the day before. But we still tried to make the best of it. It was very eventful with lots of places to visit but the cold rain we had didn't stop us from touring the city. We started out morning with another tour called the Untouchable (gangster) Tour. Sounds silly doesn't it? But my boyfriend wanted to go to this so I booked it for us. This tour took us to the places gangsters back then used to hang out, shootings that happened such as Al Capone and other famous gangsters from the past. This tour was interesting only when they showed us places that had real death incidents and shootings. For the most part, we were on a ganster bus and had to listen to them talk rather than get off the bus to actually let us see for our own eyes.

Our gangster tour guide

After this tour, they dropped us off at this huge 2 story building McDonalds with an escalator inside. Boyfriend and I were so intrigued that I had to take a picture inside.

Then we left and walked for some Chicago Style Hot Dogs at Portillos. I read great reviews on this place from yelp. The reviewers definitely didn't let us down. It was deeeelishious!

more beautiful flowers

After our hot dogs, we took a cab to Millenium Park to see the Bean that I've been anticipating on seeing.

I spotted a celebrity, Vern Yip, from HGTV

After stirring up the nerves, I got a picture with him (but it's on my boyfriend's camera) so I'll have to share with you later. He had a lot of makeup packed on.

We walked to the Art Institute of Chicago.

a very interesting art from Picasso made of cardboard. haha

After spending many hours in the museum we walked out and it was pouring rain. But we had to stop at the fountain. I was so fascinated to see the water coming out. haha I didn't capture of the wall doing it but I did capture it on video that I'll have to share later as well.

stopped by for a snack

ordered the Strawberry cupcake (can't go wrong with strawberry, it was good), Then a cinammon carrot cupcake (super good) Not too dry or sweet. Just perfect.

Then we continued with our journal to Magnifent Mile in the rain...

After getting soaked and my toes were numb, we left back to the hotel to get ready for dinner and a show my boyfriend bought tickets for.

We originally had reservations for David Burke's Steakhouse but we were running late and we had a show to catch so instead I cancelled our reservations and made one for Ipo (another restaurant downstairs of the W hotel) The food was good except the service could've been better.

I finally got a chance to wear my new earrings I bought off Jewelmint.com

Show to the Blue Man Group. It was my first time and my boyfriend knew I would've enjoyed it. I thought it was the most awesome show ever. I definitely recommend anyone to go watch them. My sister is actually visiting Chicago this weekend and I made her buy tickets to this show.
